I write this short note in support of Alex Vispoli to support his offer to continue representing Andover on the Board of Selectmen. “Short” in hopes that it will actually be read, but “long” on my support of his candidacy.
Alex is well-known in Andover for his service as an elected official. His successful background in business; his measured, careful, thoughtful approach to decisions; both have been valuable to the town.
They will continue to be in the future. He has been an independent voice asking questions – the ones that must be asked to enable “Townies” and others living on fixed incomes to continue to live in Andover.
He has demonstrated the type of leadership badly needed on town boards. Alex has been a strong supporter of Andover’s many veterans in return for their commitment to serve us. His concerns for economic growth within the town while retaining an appropriate concern for the taxes that are required to support that growth. It is a fine balancing act for which he has shown an ability to undertake.
This makes him an ideal candidate for re-election as one of our Selectmen. Please join me and your neighbors in voting for Alex in the upcoming town elections.
